We like this park because it’s open, and the dogs, as well as their owners are friendly. Located near one of the MSP Airport runways, watching planes land and take off makes for a unique off leash experience. Plenty of space here to let the pups run, as well as a few small trails to take a quick walk on.

While this park technically is probably in Minneapolis, it’s not part of the Minneapolis Parks jurisdiction.  Rather, it’s Airport Commission property, and there is no true governing body over it.  So make sure you read the website below before going for your first time.

open area: yes

walking trails: yes, although they aren’t very long

fenced?: not completely, portion closest to 28th along the street is not fenced.

permit required?: no, as it’s owned by the Airport Commission
